NEW! Everyday Exercises for Improving Balance - 4 week series
12:15pm - 1:00pm Wednesdays
(October 22 and 29 and November 5 and 12)
$60 for four classes
This class will primarily feature easily learned balance exercises recommended by the Harvard Medical School, plus selected Tai Chi balance movements as well as some practical suggestions for reducing the risk of falls in the home.
While most of the exercises will be done standing, some will be done sitting. Balance bars will be available for everyone.
Only offered in studio at South Wing. No Zoom.

Chi Flow for Relaxation and Energy

This active relaxation is a wonderful class for beginners. Gentle stretches and exercises adapted from the traditional Chinese practice of Qigong (energy work), reduce fatigue, improve concentration, and promote healing. All movements may be done either sitting or standing.

Mindfulness in Motion. Based on Chinese martial arts, the slow, deliberate forms of Tai Chi & Qigong focus on breathing, movement, and meditation. This class is excellent for those wanting to work on their balance and individuals with arthritis.
